Felmores Medical Centre in Basildon has an opportunity for an experienced advanced nurse practitioner to work across their two sites in Basildon. This position can be offered on a full or part-time basis, Monday to Friday, with the successful post-holder working collaboratively with the general practice teams to meet the needs of the patients.

As an experienced healthcare professional, educated to master's level, they will have developed the skills and knowledge to allow them to take on an expanded role and scope of practice caring for patients.

Main duties of the job

Provide care for presenting patients, from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care.

Demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education, and support to staff, patients, their families, and carers.

Practice autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner within the designated specialty area to provide patient-centred clinical care.

Support new ways of working that emphasize a more efficient and patient-focused service, ensuring the safe treatment, referral, and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area.

Lead the ongoing development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.

Person Specification Qualifications

Professional registration with relevant professional body: NMC, HCPC, or GPhC.

Post-graduate qualification in specific specialty, or equivalent experience.

S1 experience preferred.

Experience

Demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnosis skills for patients within general practice.

Advanced clinical assessment skills.

Ability to perform in stressful and complex situations.

Sound clinical reasoning and decision-making.

Flexibility.

Ability to inspire and lead a team.
