Mechanical Estimator

My client, a leading Mechanical Services provider, is looking to recruit a Mechanical Estimator for their remedial team.
The role will involve working with the Commercial Gas and HVAC team on remedial projects with national coverage.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Receive, log, and create Estimates/Tenders from new enquiries
Review and analyze all relevant documentation
Obtain supplier and subcontract quotations for all mechanical disciplines
Review drawings and specifications to determine cost estimates based on materials, labor costs, preliminary and overhead expenses, and profit margins
Liaise with clients and other team members to answer questions about materials or design changes
Identify potential problems with materials or design that could affect costs or construction timeframes
Forecast labor costs by calculating the number of workers needed to complete the job based on their hourly rate and working hours per week
Create detailed estimates using computer software programs designed specifically for estimating construction costs

Qualifications & Experience
A background in mechanical engineering and a minimum of 2 years' experience in an estimating capacity is required.
