My client is in need of a Mechanical Fitter based in Stonehouse due to expansion. My client is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and production of skid-mounted rotary compressors for the oil and gas industry. The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for the assembly of blowers to the required specifications, standards, and expectations of the client. For this role, you will need to have experience and knowledge of working with different materials of construction (mild/carbon/stainless/aluminium/nonferrous). An understanding and experience in the specifications, standards, and expectations of supplying equipment within the petrochemical industry is desirable. Experience in a similar role is essential, while having a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship would be an advantage. Main Duties:

Assembly of mechanical fabrications using basic hand, electric, and pneumatic tools. The building of blower units to specification and approved drawings. Preparation of components for shot blasting and paint. Assembly and complete hydro testing of blowers and components. Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures.
