E.ON Drive is the E-mobility business of E.ON and has a presence across Europe as one of the biggest e-mobility suppliers. We install both residential and workplace charging across the UK and work with a range of partners to deliver solutions into their businesses.

With the Government mandate that car companies will no longer be allowed to manufacture any new conventional petrol or diesel cars from 2030, the Electric Vehicle (EV) market is one of the fastest growing markets and will change the way we travel. The demand for new EV's is growing at a faster rate than the charging infrastructure it needs to support this growth can be installed. At E.ON we are driving the way forward for how we install EV charging points to try and meet this demand and, as a result, we now need to grow our current team.

Right now, we're looking for time-served, experienced commercial & industrial EV Installers to join our team here at E.ON. This is an amazing opportunity to expand your skills and join a growing, innovative business where the sky is the limit!

You'll be responsible for:

The efficient delivery of Commercial & Industrial electrical installations from start to finish.

Carrying out various aspects of testing, inspection and commissioning of EV Charging installs, ensuring a high quality is maintained at all times.

Providing customer support and interaction during electrical installs.

Attending general maintenance and emergency response calls to charging assets.

Supervising colleagues and external contractors.

Ensuring personnel, and possibly sub-contractors, under their control fully understand and adhere to their job requirements.

Taking full ownership for personal health and safety responsibilities and that of the team, ensuring PPE is worn at all times.

Carrying out risk assessments and maintaining safe working practices.

What we need from you:

Completed Electrical Apprenticeship or training programme.

C&G 236 pt 1 and pt 2 or equivalent with extensive & proven relevant trade experience.

18th edition BS7671 wiring regs qualification.

It would be GREAT if you had:

C&G 2919 in EV charging installation or equivalent EV installation qualification.

C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing.

Previous experience of EV installations.

Previous experience of testing and inspection of electrical installations.

Current First Aid and Manual Handling certificates.

CSCS accreditation.

A current driving licence with MEWP operator's certificate.

Here's what you need to know:

Our market-leading benefits package includes 26 days holiday + bank holidays, a generous pension scheme, life cover, bonus, and the chance to choose from 20 flexible benefits with tax and/or NI savings. In fact, our benefits package recently won the Personnel Today Reward, Recognition and Benefits Award 2022!

As the only energy company to feature in The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers (our 2022/23 ranking is 15th) we've proven that we're committed to equal opportunities and actively promote a diverse and inclusive working environment, and fairness for everyone.
