Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance or Service & Install Engineers/Techs Working on various Static Sites or Several Sites, in the Essex, Kent, East Anglia & London areas mainly.

Either working mainly on maintenance/service or installation servicing depending on your key skills & qualifications.

Workshop / Field Service Electrical & Mechanical Engineers Our Client is seeking experienced Electrical or Mechanical Technicians to join their growing team as Workshop and Field Service Engineers. This permanent role is based in their West Horndon, Essex branch, with responsibilities covering various sites and installations across the UK, primarily in the London, South East, East Anglia & Midlands regions.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair electrical issues in commercial and heavy industrial systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring.

Conduct routine maintenance/testing on systems to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards.

Rewire faulty systems to a high standard while adhering to building codes and safety requirements.

Work independently to identify and address faults and concerns in electrical systems.

Provide exceptional customer service and respond effectively to inquiries.

Install electrical systems in accordance with the 18th edition wiring regulations.

Offer professional assessments and advice to customers.

Assist and lead planned projects and outages as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

Proven experience in fault finding, repair, installation, and commissioning.

Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities, both verbally and in writing.

Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

A full, preferably clean, driving license is essential.

Ability to pass security clearances.

Relevant knowledge, training, and experience in heavy engineering sectors are critical.

Familiarity with IEE regulations and possession of City & Guilds 2360, 2382 qualifications, and an inspection and testing certificate (2391) is required. Recognized Electrical Indentured Apprenticeship.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications

CompEx Training (1-4). Safety Passport.

Experience in the power generation sector, including prime movers and balance of plant (BOP).

Knowledge of high voltage systems, trace heating installation/testing, motor installation/testing, and electrical actuator testing.

Good physical fitness due to the demands of the job.

A flexible and positive outlook.

Availability for callouts on a 1 in 4 basis.

Willingness to work away from home when necessary.

Workshop & Field Service Mechanical Engineers Our Client is seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians to join our team as Workshop and Field Service Engineers. This permanent role is based at our West Horndon branch, with responsibilities covering various sites and installations across the UK, primarily in the Essex, London, Southeast regions.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities

Performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on rotating equipment, including large turbines and a range of pumps.

Conducting maintenance on auxiliary and balance of plant (BOP) equipment, such as gearboxes, coolers, conveyors, and valves.

Utilizing measuring equipment like micrometers and alignment tooling.

Completing workshop and field service activities, including detailed reports on findings, condition assessments, and recommendations.

Communicating technical information effectively to peers and customers, both verbally and in writing.

Diagnosing mechanical equipment issues within the heavy engineering sectors.

Conducting defect repairs and routine maintenance on commercial and heavy industry machinery to meet manufacturer standards and legal requirements.

Identifying and resolving faults independently on mechanical systems.

Assisting and leading planned projects and outages as needed.

Managing work schedules efficiently.

Mechanical Qualifications

Mechanical qualifications, such as ONC & HNC, C&G NVQ, or equivalent.

Proven experience in fault finding, repair, installation, and commissioning.

Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities, both verbally and in writing.

Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

A full, preferably clean, driving license is essential.

Ability to pass security clearances.

Relevant knowledge, training, and experience in heavy engineering sectors are critical.

Desirable Qualifications & Technical Skills

Experience in the power generation sector, particularly with prime movers and BOP.

OEM pump or turbine experience.

A strong background in rotating equipment.

Strong technical abilities, including measuring and reporting skills.

Good physical fitness due to the demands of the job.

A flexible and positive outlook.

Availability for callouts on a 1 in 5 basis.

Willingness to work away from home when necessary.

Location & Salary Location:

West Horndon, Essex.

Salary:

GBP35,000 to GBP38,000 + p.a OTE GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 + p.a depending on qualifications/skills.

Contract:

Full time, permanent.
