We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
The successful candidate will:
Support students with individual needs and ensure they achieve and believe in themselves, preparing them for the next steps and adulthood.
Provide professional learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes.
Have a deep and accurate understanding of the school’s strategies for improvement.
Provide exemplary pastoral care across the school.
Ensure safeguarding measures are robust and efficient across both sites.
Identify safeguarding trends and report these to the wider Senior Leadership Team.
Develop strong relationships with professional services and community groups.
Maintain accurate records of behaviour incidents.
Support on behaviour and safeguarding across the school as directed.
Our ideal candidate will have:
A committed and passionate view of students with SEND.
At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision.
Experience in a Safeguarding role in education.

At New Ways School & College:
New Ways is an Outstanding Independent SEN School with two sites. Our KS3 students attend our school site in South Birmingham (B38), and our KS4 KS5 students attend our college site in North Worcestershire (B60). New Ways caters for 11-19 year olds who have special education needs relating mainly to Autism.
