Aberdeen Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Senior Design Engineer

to lead the design and development of advanced downhole tools, with a focus on completion packers and wire retrievables. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of API 19AC and API 11D standards, along with a proven track record in delivering innovative solutions in the completions sector. As part of an industry-leading team specialising in well completion technology, you will contribute to designing and manufacturing cutting-edge tools used to optimise frac operations. This role requires a local candidate who can commit to 5 days per week in-office at the Aberdeen location. Responsibilities: Develop and implement engineering standards and processes. Design, draft, and review technical drawings, including assembly, disassembly, and redress procedures. Plan, oversee, and report on prototype testing of downhole tools. Analyse customer design proposals to ensure compliance with specifications. Lead design reviews and define Design Acceptance Criteria (DAC) for new products. Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to meet project milestones. Maintain accuracy and integrity of design documentation through control systems. Minimum Requirements: Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Engineering, or a related field. Experience:

10+ years in downhole tools, specifically completion packers and/or wire retrievables. Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWORKS, and other relevant design tools. Knowledge:

Expertise in API manufacturing principles, particularly API 19AC and API 11D. Soft Skills:

Fluent in English with strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities. Preferred Attributes: Awareness of QHSE/API Q1 standards and project planning analysis. Hands-on experience with equipment qualification and testing.
