JOB DESCRIPTION

As the

Lead PES Engineer , you will oversee PES delivery for allocated projects within the SNM portfolio, covering all project lifecycle stages from concept to handover. Reporting to the SNM PES Senior Engineer, you’ll manage PES deliverables per SL-tailored ISO 15288 processes, focusing on technical processes in the V-model. Key Responsibilities Author, check, and review PES deliverables (internal/external). Conduct cybersecurity reviews and produce Cyber Security Justification Reports. Develop User, Functional, and Graphic Requirements Specifications. Define Panel and Installation Design Requirements. Prepare EOs and Tender Packages. Collaborate with supply chains and system integrators, reviewing and refining designs. Oversee system testing as the client lead. Work closely with integrated project teams and stakeholders to ensure quality, time, and cost targets. MY PROFILE

Control Systems Expertise Proven experience in control system requirements capture and delivery. Cybersecurity Knowledge Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity practices (e.g., BS 62443). Process Knowledge V-Model processes and PES system deliverables experience. Client & Site Engagement Skilled in validating requirements through site visits and managing client stakeholders. Project Lifecycle Management Experience in managing PES deliverables across all lifecycle phases. Supply Chain Management Expertise in PES design/build within NEC3 contracts (or equivalent). Industry Experience 3+ years in roles requiring systems/PES design knowledge. 1+ year in regulated, quality-assured environments (preferably nuclear). Collaboration & Independence Effective in teams and independently under time constraints. Communication Skills Strong written and verbal communication. Interpersonal Skills Able to interact with individuals at all levels. Senior PES Requirements Knowledge of Functional Safety and IEC 61508 (Senior roles). Qualifications Degree in a relevant discipline. Professional registration (minimum IEng Level, e.g., IET, IoP, IMC). Desirable Experience & Qualifications Sellafield Knowledge Familiarity with SL PES processes and standards (e.g., ES_1_2479_1, ES_1_2487_1). Sellafield Site Experience Knowledge of facilities, tools, and techniques like HAZOPS, MFDs, S&IDDs, and CONCISE. Professional Registration CEng registration with a relevant institute (e.g., IET, IoP, IMC).
