Holderness Academy & Sixth Form College is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dedicated Positive Discipline Manager. The Positive Discipline Manager is responsible for overseeing a safe and productive environment to manage student behaviour, often in challenging circumstances, and will support students to reflect on their behaviours and make more positive choices in future. The role also has responsibility for managing the systems in place to support Positive Discipline (PD) across the entire school (both sanctions and rewards) to ensure that strategic decisions are well informed and evidence based, while maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders. The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people and the ability to establish good professional relationships with students and colleagues. They will also have an understanding of safeguarding and child protection and an awareness of the factors which can lead to disaffection in education. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent professional and personal standards at all times and have a willingness to learn new skills and undertake professional development. The appointed person will promote excellent behaviour and conduct, be committed to safeguarding and student welfare, and should also be keen to engage in the wider life of our community school.
