offers a specialist accident claim service, focusing on all elements of the claims process to help our clients deal with the fall-out of a non-fault accident. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Solicitor to join the firm’s busy team based in Edinburgh due to business growth. The successful candidate will manage a varied case load including RTA, EL, and PL cases, ensuring the best possible recovery is made in relation to the heads of claim and that the appropriate policies and procedures are followed. Key Responsibilities Maximise income per case through recovery of damages to include hire, repairs, recovery, and storage. Prepare and conduct the case thoroughly ensuring the ingathering of all requisite evidence. Report issues, problems, and compliance breaches in a timely manner to the appropriate level of management. Deliver a level of Client Care in accordance with service level agreements. Mentor and supervise junior members of the team. Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies including data confidentiality and the operational security of the Information Systems used. Any ad hoc or additional duties as deemed fit and appropriate by the Management Team for this post and the associated level of responsibility attached to it. Benefits Competitive salary range from £46,000 - £50,000 per annum. Hybrid working is offered once probationary period is successfully completed. 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, and an additional birthday holiday. Three-day bonus holiday for full attendance. Annual flu jab and eyecare scheme. Person Specification Must be admitted in Scotland and have 2-4 years PQE. Understanding of credit hire would be desirable. Court litigation experience including an understanding of Court of Session and Sheriff Court Procedures. In-depth drafting experience. Conduct hearings in the Sheriff Courts. Ability to deal with difficult clients, communicate effectively, and where appropriate give legal advice in relation to their claim. Ability to work towards shared goals and objectives. Commercially aware. Experience of demonstrating effective teamworking within a commercial environment. Cooperative and flexible approach. Ability to identify where problems may arise and adopt a solution-focused approach. Demonstrate effective communication and good interpersonal skills. IT literate. Commitment to own personal development.
