Temporary HR Advisor

Your new company Hays HR is delighted to be supporting a public sector organisation on the recruitment of an HR Advisor to join them in a temporary position until the end of May 2025 due to internal movements / secondments. The role requires you to be on site 2 days a week in Newcastle, with free parking and a canteen on site for lunch! (You must be able to travel to the Newcastle office) - there are easy public transport links if you don't drive. Your new role Within this role you will support the wider HR team, supporting them on the organisations HR objectives, while supporting the HR Business Partners. This is a HR generalist position working alongside one other HR Advisor, being the 1st line support for all employees within the organisation. Responsibilities include: Carry out HR Project work Supporting developing strategies to reduce sickness absence Provide advice and guidance to line managers Supporting disciplinary and grievance procedures Producing reports and ensuring data is inputted onto the HR system Review and update HR Policies and procedures What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you must be immediately available and demonstrate experience in the following: Managing ER casework Experience producing reports and collecting data Up-to-date knowledge of Employment Law Experience working in an HR function previously in a similar position What you'll get in return Salary: £33,195 Holidays: 38 inc bank holidays Free parking on office days What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
