What you’ll be doing Ashtead Technology are looking for a Trainee Project Engineer to join the team at our Fintray facility - this is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to begin their career in project engineering. You will work closely with experienced engineers and project managers, gaining hands-on experience and developing the skills needed to thrive in this dynamic field. Day to day you’ll be involved in: Providing technical support for projects & clients / offshore personnel in support of projects Preparing project documentation – technical manuals, FAT procedures etc. Preparing equipment annual certification – DNV Requirements, Lifting Certification & Calibrations Providing support during client equipment demos & attending client meetings as and when required Purchasing parts/materials for projects ensuring delivery schedules meet project timescales Preparing and testing equipment for hire/sale as and when required Maintaining project schedules ensuring any changes are promptly addressed Providing support with project logistics Providing final quality control checks Assisting operations on a day-to-day basis, including workshop and yard activities on occasion What experience you’ll bring The key to being successful in this role is having a positive and pro-active attitude! A few other things that will help? Previous hands-on experience or strong knowledge of diesel engines & hydraulics – this can be from a previous role or an area you have a keen interest in. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
