Exciting Opportunity to join our friendly team! Our practice is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Dental Nurse who enjoys working as part of a close and supportive team. Do you want to work in a practice that provides high quality dentistry with all mod cons and intra oral scanners? We are looking for an ambitious Senior Dental Nurse to join our friendly long-established practice. Excellent progression opportunities available. Hours Monday - Thursday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm Friday 9:00 am - 4:30 pm 37.5 hours per week (part time can be considered) Responsibilities and required skills: Carry out stock control and placing orders. Managing a stock budget. Ensure any breakdowns or malfunctions of the equipment are dealt with effectively and efficiently. Train, coach, and supervise trainee dental nurses on clinical duties. Assist dentists during dental procedures. Manage the sterilisation of instruments and maintain cleanliness in treatment areas to uphold hygiene standards. Infection Control Lead. Liaise with dental laboratories, suppliers, and other organisations as required. Complete and maintain surgery logs (Autoclave, Emergency equipment/drugs, Legionella, Water temp, Prescription). Replenish emergency drug/equipment supplies. Ensure daily tasks are complete. Requirements: Qualification in Dental Nursing – NEBDN or NVQ 3 (Qualified Nurse). Dental Nurse Registration with the General Dental Council. Minimum 1 year experience as a qualified dental nurse. Hep B vaccination. Desirable (or willing to develop): Open to discuss any desired progression routes to help you reach your goals. Clinical photography. Dental implant nursing experience. Taking 3D intraoral scans. Taking impressions. Familiarity with SFD dental software (Training will be provided). Experience in providing oral health advice. Reception duties. Radiology. Clinical audits.
