Location: Maidenhead
Pay: 80 - 95 per day
When: January Start
A lovely school in the heart of Maidenhead is looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to join their team in January 2025.
The School hiring a Behaviour Support Worker:
The school in Maidenhead is highly regarded in the area and is looking for a committed individual with a positive and enthusiastic attitude to motivate and uplift their students.
The role as a Behaviour Support Worker:
Your day-to-day role will revolve around supporting students in the classroom. You will assist them with their school work and ensure they have the right tools to achieve success. Many students struggle with behaviour due to stress, anxiety, and depression stemming from childhood trauma. You will support them in processing and regulating their emotions.
You will assist the class teacher with general classroom duties, such as gathering materials for lessons and preparing the learning environment. You may also support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
The successful Behaviour Support Worker:
The successful candidate will be committed, positive, and proactive. Patience and initiative are essential, as some children will have educational healthcare plans requiring extra support. You will need to adapt your approach to fit the needs of each child. Ideally, you will have experience working with children, but this is not essential. Graduates are welcome to apply, as well as those with a background in sports, art, music, or drama.
This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals looking to pursue a career in education, counselling, or psychology, providing hands-on experience in the classroom and with vulnerable children.
