FINTEC recruit is seeking a Graduate IT Consultant for our engineering client based in South Shields. This is a permanent role, salary negotiable by experience £40,000 to £50,000 plus benefits. Part of the Project team, you will be leading on implementation change while liaising with external IT support and internal managers across the business to assist the company with ISO27001 accreditation. You will be the first point of contact and oversee any IT issues across the business. Career progression potential with further training will be provided where required to reach entry CSO level.
Responsibilities:
Liaison with clients and stakeholders, building relationships and managing expectations. Ability to draft IT policies and processes, transferable to creating security policies aligned with ISO 27001. Project management and planning in delivering projects within scope, time, and budget. Assessing client needs, identifying issues, and recommending effective solutions. Aligning IT strategies with business objectives. Producing and presenting presentations and reports on progress to stakeholders. Evaluating and recommending third-party vendors, tools, and technologies. Skills and Experience required for the Graduate IT Consultant role:
Degree qualified in a relevant IT discipline or Cyber Security qualifications and a willingness to train further to become fully competent. Knowledge of ISO27001 or experience of implementing and a willingness to train in gaining in-depth knowledge. CompTIA Security+: A globally recognized certification covering fundamental cybersecurity principles. Certified Information Security Manager (CISM): Advanced knowledge for aligning IT security with business objectives, ideal for experienced professionals. Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA): Focused on audit processes and IT compliance, useful for transitioning into ISO 27001 roles. GDPR Practitioner: Understanding data protection regulations to complement ISO 27001 expertise. Prince2 Foundation or Agile PM Certification: Builds on project management skills for managing ISMS projects. Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus: UK-focused certifications demonstrating knowledge of cybersecurity basics. Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals: Recognizes skills in managing security across Microsoft environments. Required to pass UK security clearance.
