Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment. This role is crucial in managing the administrative tasks that support the smooth operation of our medical practice. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently. Handle incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel or taking messages as necessary. Maintain patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times. Process patient registrations and verify insurance details. Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with insurance providers as needed. Ensure the reception area is organised and presentable at all times. Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate seamless patient care and communication. Experience Proven experience in an administrative or office role, preferably within a GP practice or setting. Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in using office equipment and software applications relevant to medical reception tasks. A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
