We are seeking to appoint a Head of Year to join our esteemed secondary school located in the heart of Wiltshire. This is a full-time, permanent position that entails a commitment of 37 hours per week, exclusive to term time. The salary for this role ranges from £33,366 to £37,938, commensurate with the candidate's experience. Complemented with attractive company benefits. Ideal candidates are expected to demonstrate compassion, enthusiasm, and a robust commitment to supporting students with pastoral needs, behaviour management, attendance, and safeguarding issues. Applicants must possess relevant experience in a pastoral role or a comparable position that includes collaboration with external agencies. Candidates must have a background in an educational environment and should be able to articulate their knowledge and understanding of data tracking, as well as monitoring and evaluating student progress to ensure successful outcomes. In the role of Head of Year, you will be responsible for collaborating effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies to ensure that all students are afforded optimal support throughout their secondary education. A thorough knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection are essential, along with the implementation of inclusive strategies that cater to the needs of every student.
