Job Description Senior HVAC Engineer Location : Warrington Type : Permanent / Contract We're hiring a skilled Senior HVAC Engineer with nuclear industry expertise to enhance our team. You'll help deliver safe, efficient building service solutions with proficiency in Revit and UK standards. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the HVAC Categorised Projects and will be required to assist the HVAC Principal Engineer / SL RE in the delivery of various HVAC projects. Support HVAC Projects:

Assist with all aspects of HVAC delivery, focusing on the design of new systems or modifications to existing HVAC systems. Collaborative Design Teamwork:

Work closely with a small, integrated design team to meet project milestones. Multitasking:

Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Documentation Creation:

Contribute to producing multi-discipline design documents such as Project Requirement Documents, Basis of Design, Project Verification Plans, Quality Plans, and Design Justification Reports. Independent Project Planning:

Determine project requirements independently. HVAC Deliverables:

Produce HVAC-specific documents, including technical reports, engineering drawings, and building services calculations. Review & Check:

Review and verify design documents and piping deliverables prepared by other senior mechanical designers. Estimations:

Provide estimates for scope changes, additional works, and corresponding schedules. Design Reviews:

Support and contribute to Design Review processes. Compliance Reports:

Produce reports and documentation to meet CDM requirements. Scheduling:

Manage project schedules effectively. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Interface with the Integrated Design Team, facility team (including systems engineering), and other project functions, fostering a collaborative team environment. This role is essential for delivering high-quality HVAC projects and requires the ability to work closely with various stakeholders across all project phases. Qualifications Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, with relevant HVAC design experience. Chartership:

Ideally chartered or working towards chartership. Regulatory Knowledge:

Knowledge and experience of UK regulations is essential. Nuclear Expertise:

Knowledge of nuclear standards and site procedures (preferred but not essential). Time Management:

Ability to manage their own time effectively to ensure tasks are delivered within budget and timescale. Tech Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Proactive Approach:

A driven and proactive attitude, taking ownership of tasks within their remit. Communication:

Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Report Writing:

Competent in writing clear and concise reports to document findings. Deadline Management:

Comfortable working under time and cost constraints. Additional Information Security Clearance: Due to the nature of work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
