NET Recruit are partnering with an engineering business to recruit a Financial Controller based in the Chander's Ford area.

Your Role:

While in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to: Managing day-to-day financial operations, providing reporting, management accounts, balance sheets and profit and loss statements. Managing cashflow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs, overseeing budgets, financial models and forecasts for strategic planning. Making sure the company is compliant with audits and tax and any other relevant financial regulations. Preparing statutory accounts, overseeing VAT returns and payroll taxes. Monitoring costs generated by operational activities and identifying possibilities to save on costs and improve efficiencies and improving controls to manage expenditure. Taking a leadership role within the finance team, seeking ways to lead by example, promote growth within the team and support opportunities for progression. Supporting project planning by providing the operations team with financial insights. Providing support on contract negotiations and procurement activities, by undertaking risk assessments and financial analysis. Maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets, as well as analysing financial risks and overseeing the development and implementation or mitigation strategies to combat these. Supporting the audit process by liaising with external auditors. Collaborating with senior management on strategic activities by providing financial insights and recommendations for decision making and evaluating capital investment proposals and funding.

You MUST Have:

Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria: Be ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified or have an equivalent bachelor's degree. Experience in a Financial Controller position or a similar financial leadership role whereupon budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis has been undertaken. Exposure to the engineering, environmental services or fuel sectors. Good proficiency with accounting software and Excel, alongside ERP systems and Microsoft Dynamics for financial modelling. Exposure to leading teams. Excellent communication skills.
