Business Development Intern - 12 month FTC
London, GB Contract Solutions Marex is a diversified global financial services platform, providing essential liquidity, market access and infrastructure services to clients in the energy, commodities and financial markets. The Group provides comprehensive breadth and depth of coverage across four core services: Market Making, Clearing, Hedging and Investment Solutions and Agency and Execution. It has a leading franchise in many major metals, energy and agricultural products, executing around 50 million trades and clearing 205 million contracts in 2022. You will be joining the Business Development (BD) team at Marex Solutions, one of the four segments of Marex Group. The role is split 50/50 between BD and Global Market Strategy. Responsibilities: Support the Business Development team with: Collateral production and coordination to brand standard Marketing initiatives on social media, email, and the website Data performance reporting Daily administrative tasks Support the Global Market Strategist with: Basic research with a macro angle First draft copywriting, generating writing ideas for trades and reports Scouting publication opportunities Basic Excel charting/PowerPoint/visual content presentation Skills and Experience: Studies in Business, Economics, Finance, Maths, Marketing, or a related field Interest in B2B for financial services, a basic understanding of derivatives and structured products is preferred Native English written & spoken (additional language an advantage: French, Italian, German, Portuguese) Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills Microsoft 365 (OneDrive, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Analytical skills and statistics, a strong Excel ability is desired Experience with LinkedIn, WordPress, Adobe Suite, a plus A collaborative team player, approachable, self-efficient and influences a positive work environment Demonstrates curiosity and resilience in a challenging, fast-paced environment Excels at building relationships, networking and influencing others Well organised and structured with a high attention to detail The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, a problem solver If you're forging a career in this area and are looking for your next step, get in touch!
