Your Role EF Cambridge International Language Campus is seeking a responsible and energetic individual to join our Residence Team for summer 2025. As Residence Advisor, you’ll play a vital part in creating a safe, welcoming, and memorable living environment for our international students, helping them feel at home while they explore a new country and culture. If you’re ready to step into a dynamic, people-focused role and help make a difference for students this summer, we’d love to hear from you! This is a live-in position where accommodation and full board are provided at no extra cost. Roles run from June/July – August 2025. Responsibilities Meet & greet new students on arrival Prepare registration documents for new students Inform arriving students about the student code of conduct Assist with checking in & taking students to rooms Ensure students are allocated to the correct room and bed Remind departing students of leaving date & procedures Regularly check rooms to ensure facilities are in good condition & being well maintained & cleaned Ensure that reported maintenance issues are dealt with efficiently by residence staff Undertake residence walkthroughs Assist students with problems and liaise with staff responsible about any issues Ensure that residence rules are being adhered to and report all issues to Manager Respond to emails, Teams messages and other various communications platforms to ensure that all enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner Organise and partake in residence student activities Escort students to welcome orientation each Monday morning Accompany under 18 students to medical appointments Requirements Given the on-call nature of the position, a flexible, hands-on approach to nature & hours of work undertaken is essential Highly motivated, energetic, positive Customer service oriented, friendly & approachable manner Able to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situations Sensitive to needs of international students living away from home Excellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clients Attention to detail, organised & thorough All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references Legally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment Why you will love working with EF Work in a truly international environment Ambition is nurtured and fast-tracked career enhancement opportunities are provided Staff are encouraged to innovate, take ownership of their ideas and bring them to fruition EF is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
