Job Description - Multi-Trade Specialist (Plumbing Focus) Location: Oxfordshire - Surrounding area We are seeking a skilled Multi-Trade Specialist with a focus on plumbing and property maintenance to join our national facilities management company. The ideal candidate will have expertise in plumbing and general property maintenance for both commercial and domestic properties across the UK. Responsibilities: Perform a wide range of plumbing tasks, including repairs, maintenance, and installations. Conduct general property maintenance and reactive repairs for commercial and residential properties. Carry out pipework, drainage repairs, and other plumbing-related tasks as needed. Undertake light grounds work and outdoor maintenance tasks when required. Diagnose faults in plumbing systems and implement effective solutions using analytical skills. Ensure high standards of workmanship and customer service in all projects. Conduct property MOTs and void works as required. Perform heavy lifting when necessary. Qualifications: Ideally, you will have an NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or an equivalent qualification. At least 5 years of trade experience, with a focus on plumbing. Proficiency in multiple trades, particularly those related to property maintenance, is a must. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent customer service skills. Valid clean UK driving license. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel for various projects. Flexibility to work on both commercial and domestic properties. Commitment to health and safety regulations. Physical fitness and ability to work in various environments. Key Skills for a Plumbing Specialist: Pipe fitting Installing and repairing water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures Knowledge of heating systems (e.g., boilers) Problem-Solving Abilities: Diagnosing leaks, blockages, or system malfunctions Implementing effective repair solutions Health & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety protocols for plumbing systems Understanding of building codes and regulations Customer Service Skills: Communicating effectively with clients Providing clear explanations of work performed Physical Fitness & Dexterity: Ability to perform manual labour in tight spaces or challenging conditions Endurance for heavy lifting when required Multi-Trade Competency: Basic knowledge of complementary trades (e.g., tiling, plastering) Ability to perform minor property maintenance tasks beyond plumbing Teamwork & Independence: Capability to collaborate with colleagues or work alone efficiently.
