Barnsley (Premdor) Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the role is to support the Operational Teams, to supervise and co-ordinate the activities of the on-site maintenance team, directly reporting to the Maintenance Manager. Ensuring that there is cover for the site to allow the provision of engineering technical support, organising repairs to equipment on site according to operational priority, coaching to manufacturing operations, ensuring continuity of engineering support through effective communication, team management and high quality handover reporting. Main Responsibilities

Ensure continuity of engineering support through effective communications, team management and handover to other teams. Champion areas of production in Planned and Preventative Maintenance activities. Ensure PPM tasks are completed and work with Development Engineer and engineering management on PPM and AM improvements. Manage Control of Work procedures including issuing and managing permits to work (PTW). Manage and develop maintenance work lists for immediate deployment during planned/unplanned stops (“If Down Do” lists). Chair the Tier 3 meetings, ensure detailed Shift Logs are completed and the completion of Weekend Work Lists (including reporting). Liaise with operational and engineering supervision/management on equipment priorities, reactive and planned maintenance activities. Ensure the CMMS (Agility) is used for: Recording all work completed (planned/corrective/PPM) Planning all corrective work that results from work completed. Booking out all parts from stock Ensure the Health, Safety & Welfare of yourself and our employees is maintained by following all company policies relating to H&S including the correct use of PPE. Effectively manage your team to ensure highest levels of attendance, attitude, motivation, and skills. Ensure all training and e-learning is relevant, up to date and completed. Work with Engineering Management to develop team skills and experience. Coach and support team members. Manage holidays so that the site is covered adequately from a service perspective. Manage attendance and poor performance issues proactively and in a timely manner, working closely with the Maintenance Manager. Communicate all relevant information to all members of the shift on a regular basis in order for them to carry out their tasks and job duties. This includes liaising with other shifts and departments. Qualifications & Experience

Recognized NVQ/EITB Apprenticeship HNC Engineering or ONC + significant experience COMPEX Elec or Mech Awareness of the practical implications of all relevant Statutory legislation (PUWER, EAWR, LOLER, Risk Assessment, PSSR, CDM etc.) Experience of day-to-day usage of Word, Excel, Outlook, and CMMS (Agility) Leadership/Management Training Skills & Attributes
