Job Purpose: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to lead and enhance the network infrastructure within the Strategy and Architectural team of our Digital Services department. In this senior role, you will take ownership of designing, building, and maintaining both virtual and physical network infrastructures that support the critical operations of the organization. Your expertise will ensure the continuous evolution and improvement of our infrastructure, while driving innovation and strategic alignment with our broader digital goals. Why Join? Key Responsibilities: Leadership in Network Design & Support:

Lead the day-to-day management and strategic development of network infrastructure, overseeing the planning, design, implementation, and optimization of both virtual and physical network solutions. Subject Matter Expert & Technical Leadership:

Serve as the senior network expert, providing advanced technical guidance, assurance, and leadership in network architecture, configuration, security, and troubleshooting. Mentor and support junior engineers and teams. Strategic Alignment & Compliance:

Ensure the network infrastructure meets or exceeds industry standards, legislative requirements, and compliance regulations, while aligning with the organization's digital transformation and long-term strategy. Business & Technical Analysis:

Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective, scalable network solutions. Conduct impact analysis and offer actionable, strategic recommendations. Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

Spearhead a culture of continuous improvement and technological innovation, proactively evaluating emerging technologies and driving their integration into the network infrastructure. Risk Management & Solution Delivery:

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with infrastructure changes, and provide strategic input to ensure optimal risk management and service delivery. Cost-Effective Leadership:

Take ownership of the cost-benefit analysis in network design and maintenance, ensuring that solutions are not only effective but also aligned with financial and operational goals. Collaboration with Partners & Stakeholders:

Build and maintain senior-level relationships with Managed Service Providers, key suppliers, and external collaborators to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment with the organization’s objectives. Required Experience & Skills: Extensive experience supporting, designing, and maintaining large-scale physical and virtual network infrastructures in complex, multi-faceted environments. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor technical teams, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic network initiatives. Deep technical expertise in network management, including hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies and the full Cisco stack. Strong knowledge of network monitoring, management, and diagnostics, with a proven track record of managing high-availability systems. Expertise in Static and Dynamic routing protocols, with a deep understanding of enterprise-level network architecture and security practices. Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a focus on risk management and the ability to identify and resolve complex network issues. Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams, adjusting communication styles based on the audience. Additional Attributes: Strong commercial acumen and an ability to balance service delivery excellence with cost efficiency. A strategic mindset with a clear understanding of the broader organizational goals and how network infrastructure supports these goals. Self-motivated with the ability to lead projects autonomously, while fostering a collaborative team environment.
