Design Researcher
to join our dynamic team. As part of a large, experienced research community, you will shape product and service development through research insights. Whether you’re an expert in accessibility, quantitative research, or have a background in user experience (UX), we encourage you to apply and bring your unique expertise to our team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with design, product, and engineering teams to drive research that informs strategic decisions and enhances user experiences. You'll manage research plans and roadmaps, from generative to evaluative research, to address customer problems and unlock new opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Work alongside design and product teams to identify and prioritise the right research questions. Create and manage research roadmaps and plans, ensuring alignment with short-term objectives and long-term strategic goals. Conduct qualitative research using techniques such as usability testing, concept testing, and in-depth interviews. Synthesize insights into actionable recommendations that help define user needs and business opportunities. Communicate research findings clearly and influence key stakeholders to drive informed decision-making. Combine qualitative and quantitative research methods to provide a holistic understanding of user experiences. Conduct ethnographic research, including contextual enquiry or diary studies. Triangulate research data to craft compelling user stories and narratives. Bring experience in accessibility research and working with vulnerable customer groups. Foster a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and learning from other researchers. Core Skills & Experience: Proven experience working with design and product teams to define and prioritize research goals. Strong ability to create research roadmaps and maintain focus on both tactical and strategic objectives. Deep expertise in qualitative research methods such as usability testing, concept testing, and depth interviews. Experience synthesising research insights into clear, impactful findings that drive actionable outcomes. Skilled in communicating research findings to diverse business stakeholders. Proficiency in blending qualitative and quantitative research approaches. Experience with ethnographic research and user-centered design methods. Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design principles. Willingness to collaborate, mentor, and continuously improve research practices.
