Overview We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice, established for over 20 years. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation within the practice and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patients.

Full Time Position:

Monday to Friday 8am - 5.45pm on Fridays to 5PM

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.

Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations using our practice management software.

Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and providing information about services offered.

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.

Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries effectively.

Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.

Coordinate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the day.

Handle correspondence, including emails and postal mail, in a timely manner.

Work under pressure, able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Possess excellent IT skills using key programs such as Word and Excel.

Be reliable and motivated at all times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred, ideally within a healthcare setting.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong focus on customer service.

Proficient in using office equipment and software applications relevant to the role.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential.

Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
