South East London Circular Resourcing have a great opportunity for a Town Planner / Urban Planner / Planner to join a UK-based Developer of Solar and Battery Storage projects currently going through a fantastic period of growth. The role will probably suit a candidate with 2-4 years of experience, and you will work with an experienced team to manage planning applications for utility scale Solar / BESS projects across the UK. Renewables experience preferred but not essential; full industry training regarded. Previous experience working on Green Belt Planning applications would be highly regarded. This is a rare opportunity to work directly for a leading developer in one of the fastest growing industries in the UK. About the Role / Company:

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Planning Manager who will be responsible for managing and coordinating multiple BESS and solar projects through planning processes. They are a leader in the development of renewable energy projects in the UK and have a pipeline of 5GW. You will work with an experienced team of Planners on some exciting and innovative projects – this is a great career development opportunity for the right candidate. The role will be based from the client's Headquarters in South East London, with an expectation for regular office attendance, along with hybrid/flexible working for the right candidate. Salary/Package:

Strong salary / bonus options available for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:

Provide planning advice to inform decision-making on site selection and approaches taken on planning applications and stakeholder engagement. Complete and file planning applications with local authorities, including managing external consultant teams and reviewing deliverables. Oversee and track the planning process through to determination. Offer planning advice to both internal and external stakeholders. Assist other departments as needed. Requirements:

Knowledge of planning regulations and policies in the UK. Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification. Skills and Aptitude:

Good understanding of the planning process, easements, right of ways, planning constraints. Be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm. Effective interpersonal skills. Works collaboratively as part of a team. Ambition to succeed with the right support. Good administration skills. Works effectively to deadlines and competently on multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient IT skills.
