We are now on the lookout for an
Accounts & Business Services Senior
to join our growing team. All work is reviewed by a manager, but is largely unsupervised at this level. What your day to day will look like as an Accounts & Business Services Senior: Prepare financial statements from client source records, completing the necessary supporting schedules for manager review. Undertake regular bookkeeping for clients, including the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts as necessary. Be involved with planning work for relevant work assignments. Guide and advise trainee/junior staff in the department, delegate work where necessary and suggest work that other members of the team can undertake. Chase up outstanding queries with clients and to “progress manage” their own assignments. Take responsibility for a certain assignment, able to coordinate separate Ashgates services (ensuring queries cleared at a suitable point in time for clients), plan ahead suggesting dates for internal reviews etc. May be required to travel to clients’ premises.
