Would you like to work in a new, purpose-built complex care campus where you could make a difference to the lives of children with a disability and their families? Do you want a challenging and rewarding career with real opportunities to change the lives and experiences of children living in a children’s home? If you are dynamic, dedicated, and enthusiastic, then we want to hear from you.

About Us

Tree Tops will provide a continuum of care to children and young adults with disabilities. The children’s homes within the campus will offer both short breaks and residential placements to children and young people who have a physical and/or learning disability, including those with a complex health need and/or Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Working at Tree Tops will give you the opportunity to be part of a team helping shape and develop our children’s homes and local short break offer.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated part-time care officer to work within our residential children’s home, based at Tree Tops. We are looking for resilient, creative, and versatile individuals who will be prepared to work flexibly on a rota that includes every other weekend, bank holidays, and regular on-call/sleep-in duties, which attract salary enhancements. Applicants are required to have some knowledge of disabilities and be able to support children and young people with their personal, social, emotional, physical, and health care needs.

As a key worker, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans that are designed to provide meaningful choice and support. Applicants will be able to take direction and work as part of a team, and when necessary, take responsibility for leading a shift in the absence of a senior care officer.

You must have a good general education and be willing and able to undertake relevant training. You will be supported to complete the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, which is a requirement of the job role, unless an equivalent qualification has already been achieved.

Why Work With Us?

Our new, state-of-the-art facilities, comprehensive induction process, and ongoing training and development opportunities ensure that you'll have the tools and support you need to grow both personally and professionally.

Our home offers you the opportunity to be part of a supportive and inclusive team that values your dedication and passion. We provide:

Regular 1:1 Supervisions.

Up to 30 days of annual leave and additional bank holiday entitlement.

Local Government pension scheme.

Staff discount schemes.
