Main Purpose of the Job

A typical Project Engineer’s role starts with carrying out client liaison to fully identify detailed user requirements following receipt of order. Responsibilities include: Sourcing equipment from our own range of products and that of close partner companies. Working with the client to establish working line layout and agreeing KPI’s, generating P&ID’s & PFD’s, supplier negotiations, and equipment purchasing. Project cost tracking/monitoring. Conducting internal fabrication quality and pre-assembly inspections. Gathering documentation for manual compilation and training purposes. On-site works from start of installation to hand-over to client, including site supervision of all elements of installation works, working closely with key contractors for both mechanical and electrical build. Required qualifications and skills: HNC/HND qualification in engineering. Industry experience in a similar role. Excellent understanding of machinery processes and design. AutoCAD conversant. Good commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills. This role offers a competitive salary, with great earning potential of £65,000+ a year with overtime.
