opportunity, initially on a 12 month fixed term contract basis (or could be offered as a temporary promotion or secondment). The role will be based in South Mimms, with regular (monthly or bi-monthly) travel to our Canary Wharf office at 10 South Colonnade. Due to business need, this position is an on-site role. Who are we? The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency enhance and improve the health of millions of people every day through the effective regulation of medicines and medical devices, underpinned by science and research. What's the role? This role offers an opportunity to join the Site and Security Team, in FLS, and will be responsible for managing the soft facilities services, such as cleaning, catering and security for both South Mimms and Canary Wharf sites. This post is responsible for managing embedded contractors, site wide contractor security screening, meeting room and visitor management. In addition, the role is the first point of contact for dealing with security issues on both sites. The Security and Embedded Contracts Advisor is responsible for the provision of catering, security and cleaning services, managing the contracts and monitoring performance. They are accountable for managing all Agency site access requests ensuring security checks are in place for staff and undertaking contractor checks. The post line manages one member of staff based at 10SC and is responsible for liaising with Government Property Agency and others to ensure building services and security inductions are provided. This role is the first point of contact for cleaning, catering, security and Parkfield House enquiries, as well as for issues related to security equipment, systems and issues, liaising with staff at all levels to co-ordinate works, such as deep cleans of high containment areas, access to site, dealing with issues and problems that arise, investigating and resolving such issues. Key responsibilities: Responsible for the provision of catering, security and cleaning services, managing the contracts and onsite embedded contractors. Undertaking regular contract reviews, auditing the services provided and setting, monitoring and reporting on Key Performance Indicators ensuring excellent quality of service and value for money for the Agency. Accountable for managing all Agency site access requests ensuring all security checks are in place for staff and undertaking contractor, visiting worker and other BPSS security checks. Liaising with Government Property Agency (GPA) or Government Hubs Team (GHT) and others to ensure and/or provide building and security inductions. Responsible for managing the use of the Parkfield House facility, ensuring it provides high quality fit for purpose accommodation. Updating policies and procedures and ensuring they are adhered to, managing bookings, logging and co-ordinating stays and preparing invoices. First point of contact for the SMSite for all cleaning, catering and Parkfield enquiries, as well as issues with security equipment, systems and queries, liaising with staff at all levels to co-ordinate works, such as deep cleans and cleaning of high containment areas. Dealing with issues and problems that arise, investigating and resolving such issues. Who are we looking for? Our successful candidate will have: Considerable experience and knowledge in contract management and managing soft facilities contracts. Well-documented experience of working in security and with security management systems on a high security site. 5 or more GCSEs including English and Maths, a professional qualification in facilities management or an IT related subject or equivalent experience. Ability to confidently discuss technical and specialist issues both to contractors and staff in order to advise and build confidence and trust in area of expertise.
