£40,638 per year (with other payments such as overtime, and shift allowances etc). ARM are working with a large transportation client who are looking for a qualified Electrician (with distribution experience) to join their Distribution & Plant team in Swindon. This electrical-based role involves maintaining the infrastructure that powers the UK railway network. You’ll work outdoors in all weather conditions, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the railway for passengers and freight. Key Responsibilities: Maintain, inspect, and repair electrical distribution and plant equipment. Perform fault-finding, maintenance, and renewal tasks. Stay up to date with technical skills and safety protocols. About You: You must have distribution knowledge and level B qualification in high voltage (ideally AC but would consider candidates with DC experience). Commitment to safety and proactive problem-solving. Desirable Qualifications: City & Guilds 2360, 2330, or 2365. BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Key Requirements: Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible hours (including nights/weekends). Valid driving license (Category B). Ability to commute within 60 minutes.
