Grafton Banks Finance are working with a rapidly growing services company with offices in Hemel Hempstead to recruit a Management Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Finance and working within the Group Finance function working within a team you will be responsible for supporting with recording and reporting of the results, performance and position of the assigned brand accounts and their constituent statutory legal entities and branches. You will be reporting of results in the required formats both accurately and timely. Alongside timely and accurate contribution to the preparation of financial analysis, forecasts, budgets, cashflows and other key management information as required. Duties and Responsibilities will include: Ownership of assigned financial statement classifications such as (but not limited to) Fixed Assets, Prepayments and Accruals across the group and other account classifications as required. Preparation of best in class, accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations. Investigation and proactive resolution to all significant reconciling differences. Strong and proactive commitment to own and understand the numbers in your remit and the appropriate and accurate recording of the transactions in line with policy. Supporting the Group Head of Accounting with all requests for information, supplementary analysis and other reporting pertaining to the above. Effective liaison with other finance teams and partnering with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate and transparent financial reporting. Supporting the Group Head of Accounting with requests from auditors to ensure timely and effective delivery of information and timely and appropriate responses to queries. Ensure the proper maintenance and effective retention of high quality, well presented supporting evidence to all transactions in your remit. Strong desire and proactive approach to supporting the finance function and wider business in the continuous development and improvements to operating efficiency and effectiveness. Timely and accurate compilation of results for reporting. To strive to meet all KPI measures as listed under Measurements of Success or otherwise communicated from time to time. Key stakeholders are communicated to timely on issues or errors that give rise to reporting or wider business risks. The successful candidate will be either actively studying towards their finance qualifications ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by experience. You will need to have practical experience to date within management accounting. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and strong IT skills are essential.
