Senior Medical Writer
(specializing in Training) to join the Springer Healthcare Training and MedEd team. In this role you will assist in the preparation and delivery of accurate and engaging scientific copy written to an appropriate reading and literacy level for a variety of audiences, including pharmaceutical representatives, medical affairs, and HCPs. Role Responsibilities: Write scientific content for internal/external pharmaceutical audiences including eLearning content, video scripts, magazine articles, patient journeys, targeted workshops, and slide presentations across multiple therapeutic areas. Research and construct content outlines and learning objectives based on high-level brief. Conduct extensive literature reviews and develop content drafts with limited oversight; filing in contextual content and suggesting graphics as appropriate for target audience. Ensure developed content, including outlines and full drafts, are of the highest editorial quality, and in alignment with client expectations and medical/legal/regulatory requirements and processes. Resolve content-related queries from the client. Monitor own adherence to timelines and utilization rate. Record and monitor actual time spent on each project and complete timely and accurate timesheets. Attend account team meetings as well as editorial team and department meetings, as needed. Mentor more junior members of the scientific services team. Experience, skills, and qualifications: Essential: Graduate degree (MS or higher) in a scientific discipline. Minimum of 4 years’ medical/science writing and editorial experience within a scientific agency environment. Ability to travel up to 10% of time. MS Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro. Proven ability to research, learn, and distill complex scientific information/data and communicate it clearly to the target audience. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Desirable: Familiarity with platforms in our development pipeline, such as InDesign and eLearning platforms. Proven creativity (e.g., journalism, writing for a lay audience, infographic development). Understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles. Experience in oncology, hematology, biomarkers, endocrinology/diabetes, cardiology and immunology/infectious diseases. Springer Nature US provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package. US Annualized Base Salary Range:
