Research Fellow in stability analysis of ready-to-use injectable medicines Job title: Research Fellow in stability analysis of ready-to-use injectable medicines Department: Life Sciences Salary: Starting from £46,485, rising to £55,295 We are looking for an outstanding researcher to help pioneer novel methods for evaluation of drug molecules (biological and small molecule) to assess compatibility in line with relevant NHS guidelines. Our vision is to gain a deeper understanding of the pathways and mechanisms that impact drug stability in-use. The ability to develop a deeper understanding of the many effects that manufacturing processes and storage impart on ready-to-use medicines is of crucial importance in the future development of improved formulations for these molecules and improving their safety towards patients. This project will develop novel tools and methods for determining the activity of drug molecules subject to stress conditions such as altered formulation or changes to manufacturing processes. This may involve (for biological drugs) the use of systems containing multiple cell types whereby each process stimulated by the drug can be investigated. This is a highly multi-disciplinary project and will utilise techniques across a range of scientific disciplines, including analytical chemistry, therapeutic chemistry, technologies in the areas of gene editing and gene transfer, molecular biology, cell biology, transfection techniques, reporter gene assays, and protein biochemistry. This position is offered on a full-time basis, fixed term until 9th February 2026. About you
