Children's Residential Support Worker WorkwithYork are working with our York based public sector client, on a brand-new service, Together We Can, to recruit qualified Children’s Residential Support Workers, providing support to children and young people across the city between 11-17. Pay is £15.82 - 18.98 per hour, with enhancements for evening and weekend working. Must be flexible as this role involves working a rota pattern with shifts covering weekends, day, evening, sleeping nights and bank holidays.

This Children's Residential Support Worker role involves: Working as part of a specialist team to support children, young people and their families, who are on the edge of care, who are in care or leaving care. Playing a crucial role in a young person’s life, acting as a key worker and developing meaningful relationships built on compassion, respect, and trust. Providing ongoing support to young people and their families, who are on the edge of care or supporting them back to their family home or supported lodgings. Providing exceptional care and support when a young person requires coordinated support, whilst living in a residential setting. Supporting a young person requiring therapeutic care, to access the relevant services and provide oversight and pathway co-ordination, in and out of health services, in conjunction with multiagency care plans. You must have: Experience in supporting young adults with complex health care needs. A driving license and a vehicle for transport. An Enhanced Children’s current valid DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake an online enhanced DBS check. Desirable: Level 3-4 Children’s and Family practitioner.
