The post holder is expected: To be accountable for the delivery of KMPT strategy through the development of robust business plans, the setting of relevant operational targets, and the delivery of its activities within agreed budgets and to agreed standards. To lead, with the Clinical Directors and Heads of Nursing & Quality, the effective working of governance structures, roles, and responsibilities based on multi-disciplinary approaches with an emphasis on collaborative leadership and teamwork. To ensure there are effective relationships with all Service Directors to support our work with place-based partners including third-sector organisations, local authorities, and other external stakeholders. To ensure there are mechanisms in place to involve key stakeholders in all aspects of service planning and delivery, to develop culturally sensitive services, and to ensure fair access to services irrespective of gender, sexuality, religion, culture, race, or disability. Undertakes workforce redesign including formal consultations as required. Represents the organisation at stakeholder meetings/forums. As required, take a leadership role for trust-wide programmes. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role has responsibility for the day-to-day management of all the services within the directorate through the clinical staff and managers. This includes staff management, strategy implementation, service delivery and improvement, clinical governance, financial control, and delivery. Qualifications

First Degree. Evidence of recent continued professional development aligned with the role i.e. leadership / management. Post graduate qualifications/ research to Doctorate level. Experience

Expertise at Senior Management level across a range of subjects within a mental health or social care setting. An evidenced track record of success in delivery of safe, effective clinical services. Evidence of participation in corporate decision making and managing in a complex transformational change environment creating sustained improvements. Capacity to work under pressure to meet competing demands and priorities. Experience leading multi-professional and cross-organisational service development and evidence of successful delivery of agreed service objectives. Experience of senior leadership across a range of services and locations. Experience of working in different areas of the health and social care system. Skills

Ability to inspire shared purpose, confidence and direction. Leads by creating a culture that is positive and supportive of wellbeing of staff and service users. Ability to develop new concepts, scan widely and think creatively. Able to work across the healthcare system, understanding complex connections, relationships and how these impact on the delivery of services. Ability to engage teams to create a climate where participation and co-operation to improve services, provide challenge and stretch for excellence and innovation are the norm. Personal Qualities
