Littleton. HMP Long Lartin is a male prison serving life sentences with a capacity for 690 inmates. Not well situated so you would need to drive. Hours : Bank basis Shift patterns: Mon to Sun 7.30am to 19.30pm Salary : £25.06 per hour How will we support you? What you'll be doing

As a Primary Care Nurse, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions. You will undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening. You will use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse-led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team. You will contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Qualifications required Registered nurse – Adult Current professional qualification (NMC) Evidence of Continued Professional Development Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Excellent communication skills Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP, and national standards Good IT skills and IT literacy Knowledge of healthcare policies and best practice Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
