Our client is a fast-growing Electronics Design and Manufacturing business who are looking to hire a Manufacturing Management Accountant. The Group is UK based and is growing fast both organically and through acquisition. They are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Manufacturing Management Accountant to join the Group and really make a difference to the reporting of their Management Accounts. This Manufacturing Management Accountant role within the UK Electronics Manufacturing sector plays a crucial role in supporting financial decision-making and ensuring operational efficiency within the manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Own the preparation and completion of all Site Management Accounts to strict deadlines. Month end tasks to include, but not limited to, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and depreciation, stock analysis and stock provision journals, extensive margin analysis. Intercompany, including PURP, and holding company journals. Variance Analysis to explain differences between actual and budgeted performance, identifying key drivers and suggesting corrective actions. Monitor and control production costs, including direct materials, labour, overheads, and other manufacturing expenses, ensuring that they align with the company’s cost structure and targets. Provide cost allocation and absorption analysis to ensure that indirect costs are properly allocated to products, maintaining transparency in cost structures. Analyse labour and material costs by reviewing efficiency, productivity, and cost trends to highlight potential areas for improvement and cost savings. Support standard costing for manufacturing processes, ensuring that cost standards are regularly updated and aligned with market conditions. Managing and developing the Assistant Management Accountant. Travel will be required as the role includes the support of multiple locations. Qualifications & Competencies Strong attention to detail. Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation. Organised and diligent. Strong IT skills and highly IT literate. Ability to adhere to deadlines. Group accounting including consolidation and intercompany trading. Qualified, finalist CIMA or QBE. Desirable – ERP implementation knowledge. This role will require a person who can balance financial discipline with operational understanding, ensuring that manufacturing costs are efficiently controlled and reported accurately while providing strategic insights to support business decisions. You will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work cross-functionally with various teams to drive financial performance improvements across the manufacturing operations. Seniority level
