We are seeking an experienced M365 Migration Engineer with a specific focus on Exchange Online to join a migration team engaged in a M365 tenant-to-tenant divestment project. This role will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth migration of all data from source to destination, particularly on Exchange Online tasks. The role requires a good understanding of migration tool mechanics and troubleshooting known migration errors. This position will work closely with a migration manager and M365 architect responsible for the workstream. Key Responsibilities: Support the planning and execution of Exchange Online mailbox migrations in coordination with the Migration Architect and Migration Manager (e.g., batching). Assist with identifying and troubleshooting issues like throttling, data corruption, or permission mismatches. Conduct thorough post-migration validations to ensure data integrity (emails, calendars, and settings). Provide technical support for migration-related incidents and escalations. Document migration errors, resolutions, and lessons learned for future reference. Provide post-migration support regarding mailbox access, mail flow, and related issues. Assist with documentation of the end user experience (e.g., user guides for day-1 migrated users). What We’re Looking For: Proficiency with Exchange Online administration, including mailbox management and troubleshooting (SME-level). Knowledge of Exchange mail-flow and design. Familiarity with Quest On Demand migration tool (highly desirable). Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in Exchange Online such as permission errors, mail flow disruptions, and mailbox access problems. Proficient in using PowerShell to manage, search, and automate Exchange Online tasks. Knowledge of in-line mail-flow applications (e.g., Proofpoint). Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical teams and explaining migration steps to non-technical stakeholders. Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
