Job purpose

We are looking for a multi-skilled engineer to work across both social housing and commercial contracts to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance work across multiple systems such as Warden Call Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Security Systems, Access control & Door Entry.
Duties and responsibilities
To include but not limited to the following:
You will be dealing with reactive works, planned installs/maintenance and survey requirements for all aspects of your associated systems.
Reactive call outs to fault find, fix and repair.
Providing your expert knowledge by servicing and repairing multiple systems.
To log jobs correctly and provide detailed information using CASH.
To be flexible and have a positive approach in order to help us meet and exceed our customer’s often demanding needs.
Following Health and Safety regulations to ensure you work in a safe manner in line with our Health and Safety policy.
Warden Call (PPM), maintenance, testing and inspection – Quarterly, Six-Monthly and Annual.
Fire Alarm (PPM), maintenance, testing and inspection – Quarterly, Six-Monthly and Annual.
Emergency Lighting (PPM), maintenance, testing and inspection – Monthly, Six-Monthly and Annual.
Intruder Alarm (PPM), maintenance, testing and inspection – Monthly, Six-Monthly and Annual.
Access Control/Door Entry (PPM), maintenance, testing and inspection – Monthly, Six-Monthly and Annual.
Ensure you wear the appropriate PPE at all times.
To take ownership of timesheets and ensure they are completed and submitted prior to the deadline.
Being flexible within the weekly workload and the ability to work overtime when required.
Able to cover the out of hours on call rota. Solid technical background, with understanding and hands-on experience in the entrance system industry.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
Warden call experience maintaining and fault finding on but not limited to Appello, Tynetec, Tunstall.
Fire alarm experience maintaining and fault finding on but not limited to Morley, Kentec, Advanced, Hyfire and Cooper.
A good understanding of British Standard BS5839.
Intruder experience maintaining and fault finding on but not limited to Galaxy, Menvier, Texacom systems.
Intruder experience with fault finding and maintenance in line with PD6662.
Access Control/Door Entry experience maintaining and fault finding on but not limited to Paxton, Pac, Videx.
3 years’ experience in the industry required.
Maintenance (PPM) and repair of electrical equipment including emergency lighting and emergency light inspections.
Optional skill that would be advantageous - Experience servicing fire extinguishers.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desired:
1 year Experience and knowledge on smoke control / AOV systems.
3 consecutive years’ experience working as an engineer within the Fire & Security industry.

Other Information
We are offering this permanent role, based across the North East covering the following areas: Northumberland TD and NE, Tyne and Wear NE and SR, County Durham DH and DL, Teesside TS.
The rate of pay we are offering is £14.40 - £16.80 depending upon skills and experience, based on a 40-hour working week. We will also provide you with a company van and mobile phone.
