On behalf of our client, ITS Construction (Southampton) are searching for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a national painting and decorating employee-owned business. Due to sustained and continuous growth as well as an order book stretching well past 2025, they are looking to add to their commercial team. You will be reporting into the Head of Operations and supporting the team in managing the commercial aspects of projects between £20K - £6M in value. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the Directors. Help ensure that business targets are exceeded. Prepare valuations for interim applications for payment. Preparing subcontract enquiry documentation, valuations and interim payments. Evaluation of subcontract tenders. Prepare final accounts and contra-charges. Setting up and maintaining contract files. Preparation of monthly cost/value reports for area, together with review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team members. Production of commercial reports together with review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team members. Physical measurement of works and agreement of same with client and subcontractors. Agreement of certification and payment of subcontractor accounts - monitoring of such accounts against forecasts. The ideal candidate:

3+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor. Experience preferably working in one or more of painting & decorating or maintenance sector. A degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying (preferred but not essential depending on experience). How to apply:
