We are looking for an
Estates Operations Officer (Mechanical)
to join the Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services Ltd estates team to manage key mechanical disciplines for the operational estates service provided to Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and external clients. You will need to demonstrate strong team working skills; have extensive experience of working in an Estates/FM environment (ideally in the Public Sector) and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. This post will play a key role in meeting the estates statutory requirements for mechanical disciplines. The successful applicant will work within a mechanical team of 3 professional engineers managed by the Estates Operations Manager (Mechanical). The role also requires the post-holder to take part in any future estates on-call manager rota, for which additional payments will be made. Main duties of the job

Qualifications & Training
BEng/BSc (Hons) in a Building Services Engineering qualification (or circa 3 years of experience working in an engineering management role). Suitable Masters Level qualification (or circa 3 more years of experience working in an engineering role on completion of Bachelors degree). IOSH. NEBOSH. Experience
Able to demonstrate significant experience in working with commercial heating, plumbing and ventilation systems, both in terms of maintenance and installation work. Substantial specialist knowledge and practical experience in the NHS estates mechanical engineering functions. A proven commitment to the efficient and effective management of maintenance within the built environment. A strong working knowledge of Healthcare Technical Memorandums and Healthcare Building Notes. Experience of working as an Authorised Person in 2 or more mechanical areas. Highly computer literate, using Computer Aided Facilities Management software to manage and complete jobs, Microsoft Office to complete work tasks and AutoCAD to update drawings as required. Significant experience of introducing innovative technology into estates to solve technical issues. Skills & Knowledge
Able to manage highly complex, sensitive or contentious information appropriately, either singly or in groups of managers/clinicians. Able to source information to understand how to correctly install materials and carry out installation work. Knowledgeable with regards to the statutory requirements that apply to installation work and able to find relevant information in documents when required. A thorough knowledge of mechanical construction standards, regulations and requirements. Able to exercise effective functional management over teams that do not directly come under line management. Able to read and understand engineering drawings within area of expertise. A strong understanding of estates asset management processes. A strong understanding of Building Management Systems and how to interrogate them for fault finding purposes. Personal Attributes
