A market leading, multi-strategy Hedge Fund are looking to make a key, newly created hire for its trade support function.
The hire will be exposed to multiple strategies / asset classes (the team sit completely separate to operations & finance – trade support face off to all investment desks). Supporting / managing relationships with industry leading Portfolio Managers is key to the role – you will be actively involved in key projects that enable them to trade new products, trade with new counterparties, manage live/daily trading issues, helping build tools to manage risk themselves etc. Due to high-tech advancements, built internally, almost all trade bookings are fully automated, with the exception of the most complex/exotic books, which you will closely oversee. Additional BAU work for the TA team is focused on managing the lifecycle of trades, managing expiries, reducing risk, managing the affirmation platform (if a trade is not booked or is booked incorrectly) etc.
Candidates should have 3-8 years relevant experience in an IB or hedge fund trade support / operations / middle office / TA role. Strong academics and tech skills are an expectation.
This is a crucial hire – my client will look to pay a 10-20% minimum increase on current base to secure the most relevant candidate for the role. Bonuses are up to 50% for a top performer, alongside industry leading benefits, making this an exceptionally well paid role. Given the time of year, my client are committed to either paying a sign on bonus or allowing the successful candidate to collect their bonus before resigning.
