Responsibilities:
Ensure the fabric of the building both externally and internally is maintained and serviced to a high standard in accordance with the management contract and agreed budgets. Be responsible for all health and safety compliance onsite, including that of third-party service providers and maintenance records. Ensure HSE Manager is regularly updated in accordance with all Health and Safety requirements. Agree and oversee third-party contracts to ensure the correct standard of service is provided in accordance with the agreed contract for all infrastructure and utilities (Gas, Electricity, Water, Waste Effluent and Drainage, HVAC systems). Prepare, control, and monitor the service agreement in accordance with the site budgetary agreement. Regularly monitor key performance indicators and take remedial action as applicable to ensure the required standards are maintained and constantly improved for the full range of buildings. Compile and maintain all required management information/records relating to company, health and safety, and other related records, including asset register, emergency plans, and all related management reports. Ensure fire systems and emergency lighting systems are regularly tested, recorded, and any corrective actions are logged and rectified as soon as practical. Conduct fire and other evacuations regularly in accordance with health and safety requirements, ensuring the emergency plan and related site maps are continually updated within all buildings, including those managed by reportees. Liaise with local authorities as appropriate. Ensure legal compliance of facilities infrastructure. Compile information on preventive plans, corrective and punctual actions, people availability, and maintenance materials availability. Create weekly maintenance plan proposals aligned with collected information to discuss with the maintenance manager. Manage supplier schedules for programmed maintenance works. Issue maintenance job orders. Collect executed task information and keep updated reports. Report performance KPIs. Support and facilitate improvement initiatives. Ensure checklists are completed accurately and maintained.
Requirements: Previous experience in a Facilities or Site services role. Contractor management inclusive of legislative inspections (HV/LV). Experience in an Engineering role or an engineering background is advantageous. Awareness of legislation relating to building compliance. Educated to higher education, college, or degree level. Professional qualifications required for the job (particularly for compliance purposes or technical requirements of the role) include IOSH Managing Safely. Previous experience is desirable for technical competence of the role. Management experience across a range of service disciplines, with a bias toward soft and hard services. IT skills including Microsoft Office.
