Miryco Consultants are working with a Lloyd’s syndicate in their search for an experienced and strategically minded Enterprise Risk Manager to help lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of our risk management framework. This role will focus on operational risk, organizational resilience, and creating a proactive risk culture across the business. As a key risk leader, you will drive risk management strategies, provide expert guidance to senior leadership, and ensure that risk processes are integrated into business decision-making and operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and continuous improvement of the enterprise-wide risk management framework, with a primary focus on operational risk, resilience, and strategic alignment. Oversee the execution of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) processes, ensuring thorough identification, evaluation, and mitigation of risks at the enterprise level. Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on risk-related matters, influencing decision-making and long-term risk management strategies. Drive the creation of a robust and sustainable risk culture by embedding risk management principles into organizational practices and fostering risk awareness throughout the company. Collaborate with business units to proactively identify emerging risks, establish mitigation plans, and enhance operational resilience. Lead the preparation of risk reporting for executive leadership, providing actionable insights into risk exposures, trends, and key performance indicators. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices in risk management, contributing to the continuous improvement of risk management policies and procedures. Mentor and develop junior risk team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Requirements: Extensive experience in enterprise/operational risk management, with a solid background in general insurance. Strong expertise in Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) processes and risk mitigation strategies. Proven ability to influence and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on complex risk issues. Demonstrated success in driving the integration of risk management into business operations and decision-making. Experience in promoting and cultivating a positive, proactive risk culture across an organization. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic focus on operational resilience.
