A£18,555 - A£21,168 per annum

Working Pattern:

21.5 hours per week - 52 weeks per year

The College and Academy Trust is a family of specialist education providers for over 1500 pupils and students from nursery to further education across 14 academies and 9 college centres in London, Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire. Supporting their academies and college, the Trust also operates learning support, such as nursing and therapy, and a central business support team which includes HR, finance and IT.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the College and Academy Trust as a Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability Coordinator, playing a key role in supporting the health and safety team to deliver efficient and compliant services across the organisation. You will assist in streamlining operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety and sustainability. Your responsibilities will include managing health and safety systems, overseeing risk management, coordinating external audits and supporting the development and maintenance of training programs.

This is a hands-on position, and the successful candidate will need to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including site Premises Officers, Principals, senior managers and external partners, to ensure smooth operations and effective safety management. You will be responsible for the accurate management of health and safety data, generating reports, tracking audit actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

A solid understanding of health and safety legislation, risk assessment processes, and incident management techniques. Proven experience in supporting health and safety systems and compliance activities. Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels. Proficiency in using health and safety software systems and Microsoft Excel.
