You will be joining an MSP that delivers fully managed secure ICT services to the UK’s Defence and Security sectors and to other government departments which have complex and demanding security requirements. You will support secret systems and sensitive data for companies such as the MOD, MOJ.
As the Security Controller, you will play a vital role in developing a strong and effective personnel security culture in addition to responsibility for our secure facility. You will be empowered and accountable to the Board of Directors and oversee the day-to-day management and implementation of both personnel and facility related security policies, risk assessments, and processes.
Responsibilities:
Establish and oversee the organisation’s approach to personnel security, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and government standards.
Facilitate visits and inspections by government or contracting authority representatives and ensure the availability of relevant documentation.
Interpret, implement, and monitor security controls for maintaining personnel security for National Security Vetted (NSV) personnel.
Skills/Must have:
Demonstrate detailed knowledge of Government security policy memoranda, managing assets against the Government Security Classifications Scheme, and contractual Security Aspects Letters.
Key role in developing and maintaining a strong security posture, proficient in undertaking security risk assessments and proposing risk mitigations for all areas of protective security.
Experience managing similar secure facilities, such as those holding Facility Security Clearance.
