Overview
To oversee and assist in the efficient running of the internal retail area on a day-to-day basis.
To drive the sales and profitability forward within all internal departments.
To ensure the agreed retailing and operational standards are always maintained.
Responsibilities:
Drive the selling activity for all internal shop ranges as well as sundries displayed externally.
Achieve the agreed targets and take appropriate action to correct if targets are missed.
Manage the incoming deliveries, getting them out and merchandising them to sell quickly.
Manage the internal team to ensure they all perform to a high standard.
Ensure the team have appropriate work lists and achieve what is expected.
Conduct the necessary staff coaching and training to develop the individuals.
Stock management, ensuring it is maintained and rotated.
Manage and record wastage according to the guidelines.
Prepare orders in conjunction with suppliers for stock to meet the expected level of trade.
Merchandise stock and displays according to the agreed principles.
Undertake stock takes.
Proactively serve and help customers in need of assistance, resolving queries/complaints.
About you You will have worked within a retail environment with experience of managing a team and being responsible for the retail area.
A forklift licence would be desirable but not essential, and so would a First Aid qualification.
