Audit & Accounts Manager
to join our growing Audit & Business Services (ABS) team. The client base will include a mixture of audit and non-audit clients, giving you exposure to statutory audit work alongside all things accountancy including accounts preparation, management accounts, VAT returns etc. What your key responsibilities will look like as an Audit & Accounts Manager: Build great relationships with clients, becoming their go-to person for advice and support. Work closely with Directors to spot opportunities and provide great advice. Manage a portfolio of audit and non-audit clients, planning and managing the process from end to end. Manage ABS staff working on your jobs, ensuring as far as possible that targets are met, and all work is completed to the client’s satisfaction and to Ashgates professional standards. Ensure that the team runs smoothly, coaching and developing staff to work to their full potential, and ensuring that billing and utilisation targets are met or exceeded. Actively work with other ABS Managers to ensure ABS group targets are achieved with best use of staff resources across the department. Taking line management responsibility for assigned ABS staff within the audit team. Control the Sage, Xero or other accounting services provided by Ashgates which would include advice, support and training as necessary. Assist with other ad-hoc advice and projects that arise on your portfolio of clients. Let's talk about you and your skills... Hungry for a new challenge, you’ll: Proven experience within a Manager role. Worked on a range of different audits and clients, including owner managed businesses. ACA/ACCA qualifications. Great management skills, confident in supporting, coaching and developing team members. Passion for offering a high-quality service and helping clients to solve their problems. A friendly approach, and able to communicate clearly with both colleagues and clients. Great time management. Desire to develop and progress.
